He served on the union's negotiating team during his tenure as vice president. BCFPE extends condolences to Bill's wife, Carol, also a union member, and his family.

Obituary for William Eaton Jr.

William Edward Eaton, Jr. of Parkville, age 51 passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 after a yearlong battle with lung cancer with family at his side. Bill was born in Baltimore and grew up on the waterfront in Essex, MD. He graduated in 1984 from Eastern Vocational-Technical High School having studied plumbing. After graduation Bill worked for local plumbing contractors and then Baltimore Gas and Electric for several years in their gas division before moving to Akron, Ohio in 1989. In Ohio, Bill worked for Dominion East Ohio Gas installing gas meters in homes and commercial properties. While in Ohio he also owned his own business, B & B Natural Gas Lines installing residential gas lines. In 2001, Bill returned to Maryland and began working for Baltimore County Recreation and Parks as a grounds maintenance seasonal employee. Bill was a dedicated employee and continued to ...

At the Baltimore County Federation of Public Employees annual member meeting, President John Ripley gave a broad overview of the state of the union. The union is rapidly growing and by July anticipates being at 800 members. Should that growth continue as expected, within three years BCFPE will be the second largest public employee union in Baltimore county.

President Ripley discussed health care benefits with the membership. He went into detail about how the county provides for employees and briefed members on the current standings of the contract. The meeting also saw him discussing the
