National Telecommunicators Week 2024

Telecommunicators Week

National Public Safety Telecommunication Week is April 14-20, 2024

BCFPE THANKS YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
“THE TRUE FIRST RESPONDERS”

This week, we honor the men and women who answer our 911 calls. These telecommunicators are the first responders who we rely on in our time of need. They are the first to hear our cries for help, and they are the first to dispatch the necessary emergency personnel to our aid.

Telecommunicators are the unsung heroes of our communities. They work long hours, often in stressful and dangerous conditions. They are trained to handle a wide range of emergencies, from medical calls to fires to crimes in progress. They must be able to think quickly and make sound decisions under pressure.

We owe a debt of gratitude to our telecommunicators. They are the first line of defense in our communities, and they play a vital role in keeping us safe. This week, let us take a moment to thank them for their service.

Here are some ways to show your appreciation for telecommunicators:

  • Send a thank-you card or letter to your local 911 center.
  • Share your appreciation on social media using the hashtag #NPSTW.

Thank you, telecommunicators, for your service!
