Election of Officers coming up this Fall. Volunteers needed for BCFPE Election Committee.

Pursuant to the BCFPE constitution if you are a member in good standing and wish to volunteer for the Election Committee  to accept nominations for Union Delegates to various events and accept nominations for Board Members.  Please submit your name to aardis@aftmd.org by June 11, 2014. The BCFPE Executive Board will make the selection of committee members.

AFT-Maryland joins the National Association of Letter Carriers in STAMP OUT HUNGER, a national food drive.

AFT-Maryland Affiliate Locals are distributing bags in which you can place your non-perishable food donations. Place the bags near your mailbox on Saturday, May 10th, and your letter carrier will deliver them to a local food pantry.

BCFPE, Baltimore County Agree on “Rights” for Correctional Officers

An addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Baltimore County Administration and the Baltimore County Federation of Public Employees (BCFPE) expands the rights granted to Baltimore County’s correctional officers. As a result of negotiations between BCFPE officials and members of the Baltimore County administration, a new set of procedures will be followed when a county correctional officer is placed under investigation or when an officer faces disciplinary action, demotion, or dismissal.
