FY 2020 Contract Ratification Timeline
- April 1, 2019 - BCFPE Contract Negotiations Committee unanimously votes to recommend approval to the tentative agreement between the BCFPE and the County regarding the FY 2020 contract.
- April 11, 2019 - BCFPE Executive Board approves the BCFPE Negotiations Committee’s recommendation to accept the tentative agreement between the BCFPE and the County regarding the FY 2020 contract.
The BCFPE Executive Board also approves dates for information sessions and ratification vote:
- April 15, 2019 - The BCFPE website is updated and email blasts are sent to members for dates on upcoming information sessions, general membership meetings and the ratification vote.
- April 29, 2019 - Department of Corrections-BCFPE Information Day

On May 23, 2019 a contract ratification vote took place at the BCFPE office at 305 W. Chesapeake Ave., Towson, Maryland 21204 from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.Based on the vote results, the BCFPE one-year contract extension was ratified by an 87.1% vote. Special thanks to all members who took time out of their busy schedules to vote.
