Union Win on 911 Center Standby/Call-in Pay

BCFPE addressed the issue of pay for overtime when a 911 Center employee comes into work after being on standby/call-in on a 36-hour week.

After working with the Dept. of Human Resources, it was determined that employees are entitled to be compensated for their first four hours of work after being on standby/call-in at a overtime rate, regardless of whether the employee has worked 40 hours. As normal, anything over 40 hours will still be compensated at an overtime rate.

All employees that were not compensated properly for coming into work while on standby/call-in on their 36-hour week will be correctly paid on their next paycheck which will be retroactive back to January 1, 2016.
