Informational sessions and a ratification vote are scheduled for Friday November 20, 2015, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the union office, 305 West Chesapeake Avenue, Suite L-30. Only union members are eligible to vote and must present a government issued photo id.

Baltimore County 911 call center employees protested a threat of major scheduling changes on Monday night outside county headquarters in Towson. The Baltimore County Federation of Public Employees (Local #4883) organized the rally, and members of other unions attended to show their support, as well, including 911/311 call center employees from Baltimore City, who are members of the City Union of Baltimore (Local #800). 
 
Union members are protesting a mandatory rotating shift policy. The shift change has already caused dozens of 911 call center employees to leave the department, which is now

Congratulations to Emergency Communications Technician, Lauren Reives, who was named as a Baltimore County Telecommunicator Award winner.

The award was presented to her on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at the Sykesville fire station.

On September 15, 2015 at the scheduled BCFPE Executive Board Meeting & General Membership Meeting, membership were notified of the pass thru dues increase for both the state and national federations. The pass thru dues increase totals $0.52 per pay making the BCFPE dues deduction a total of $23.59 per pay effective October 1, 2015.  

We understand this is a tough year for all employees and considered every alternative. The increase is a pass-through to cover the monthly increases raised by our AFT-Maryland and AFT National affiliations.
