Baltimore County Federation of Public Employees (BCFPE) President John Ripley is scheduled to testifying before the Baltimore County Delegation in Annapolis March 8, in support of House Bill 1475, the Correctional Officers Bill of Rights.

House Bill 1475 proposes that a fair and equitable administrative process involving investigation, interrogation, and the imposition of discipline and appeals procedures be adopted for the correctional officers of Harford County. At present, correctional officers in Cecil, Garret, and St. Mary’s counties utilize such procedures. The bill proposes adding

Due to the threatened attacks on Baltimore County employees benefits and rights by the County Executive and Council, we are urging union members in Baltimore County to stand together in opposition to proposed Bills 6-13* and 7-13**.

The Baltimore County Federation of Public Employees (BCFPE) has reached an agreement with the Baltimore County administration on healthcare provisions to be included in the union’s next contract and has reached a tentative agreement on a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the county.

UPDATE

 August 29, 2012 BCFPE Members RATIFIED the FY2013 - FY2015 Tentative Agreement reached with BCG, by a vote of 99%.
