BCFPE and the Baltimore County Administration have come to a Tentative Agreement (TA) to amend the current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which would otherwise expire on June 30, 2020.
[You can read the Tentative Agreement here]. The BCFPE Negotiations Committee unanimously recommended the TA to the Executive Board for acceptance. On April 9, 2020 the BCFPE Executive Board unanimously accepted the TA and recommended it for a ratification vote by the membership.
We will be holding information sessions online where you can learn more and ask questions about the new MOU in the coming weeks, so members, please regularly check your personal email for times, dates, and connection information for the info sessions.

Information will also be forthcoming about how and when we will be holding the ratification vote. During this global pandemic, it is important to us to keep both members as well as BCFPE staff and volunteers safe in this time of social distancing. The enhancements and contract securities in this TA are likely to be invaluable as the County deals with the COVID-19 pandemic and the negative financial impact coming because of it.
