March 2011 A County Employee with 6 years of service is reinstated after being suspended pending termination. Discipline was immediately reduced to a reasonable three-day suspension with Union involvement.
BCFPE Secures Binding Arbitration For County Employees
Though great teamwork and effort, BCFPE lead the charge with other unions to secure binding arbitration for all county employees. Now the County Council must create and write the language to be added to the County Code. BCFPE continues to monitor the work sessions and county council meetings to make sure that the spirit and needs of the law are enforced.
