On June 3, 2021 at the scheduled BCFPE Executive Board Meeting and September 1, 2021 General Membership Meeting, membership were notified of the pass thru dues increase for both the state and national federations. The pass thru dues increase totals $1.47 per pay making the BCFPE dues deduction a total of $25.43 per pay effective September 1, 2021.   Please note that dues have not been increased by the local since 2016 and the $1.47 increase is accumulative of all deferred scheduled increase by AFT-Maryland and AFT National since 2016.  American Federation of Teachers (National) provides research, publications, mobilization support, recruitment material, annual auditing, local support, and a host of other membership benefits. AFT-Maryland provided the leadership and guidance for local negotiations. AFT-Maryland has made some of BCFPE's issues priority legislation in Annapolis and given organizing assistance to promote local autonomy. The BCFPE Negotiations Committee and BCFPE Executive Board have approved the FY2011 Tentative Agreement beginning July 1, 2010.

BCFPE has reached a Tentative Agreement with Baltimore County for a two-year contract extension through FY2023. 

The BCFPE Negotiation Committee and the BCFPE Executive Board have unanimously accepted and recommend the Tentative Agreement for ratification by BCFPE Members. Full information regarding the Tentative Agreement, Informational Zoom meeting, and the ratification process will be forthcoming.

• Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 6:00 pm. (Cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic)
• The following dates will take place in an online Zoom meeting format to explain the Tentative Agreement and ratification vote.

Ballots for the 2020 BCFPE Elections for all Union Officers will be mailed via Elections USA.

• Please see the NOTICE OF UPCOMING BCFPE ELECTIONS flyer below for further information.
• Ballots will be mailed by Elections USA by Sept. 11, 2020, and must be received back (not postmarked, but received) in their P.O. Box by Sept. 29, 2020.
• If you have not received a ballot by September 18, 2020 please notify the committee chair immediately to receive a replacement ballot. Replacement ballots can be requested no later than September 18, 2020.
• Executive Board Nominations form is available below.
• Executive Board nominations are due by the General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
